Nokia Snake meets Microsoft Minesweeper.

In the beginning of February 2026, I competed in the Supercell AI Lab Hackathon — a global event running simultaneously in San Francisco, Tokyo, and Helsinki, plus online. Thousands of developers, designers, and dreamers, all building games with AI over one sleepless weekend.

How to play? Eat the food to clear the level. Hit a mine, you get longer and faster, sweep a mine (move the snake around the mine - you get shorter and slower).

I chose the Game Remake track and fused two iconic classics into one game: Snake Sweeper. Every tile could be a mine. Every move matters.

This wasn't about writing every line by hand. The whole point of an AI hackathon is to push the boundaries of what's possible when you work with AI, not against it:

  • Claude Code for development — the main coding engine
  • Claude Desktop for rapid prototyping and brainstorming
  • Unity for the game engine
  • ElevenLabs for audio and voice
